function speakEnglish(text, waittilldone OPTIONAL)
Will try the English voice by wrapping the given text into an XML statement specifying the English voice. It'll not say anything, if no English language is present on your computer.
Function Parameters[edit]
Parameter | Type | Description |
---|---|---|
text | String | Text that should be spoken. |
waittilldone | Boolean | If true, the next LUA instruction will not execute until the text is spoken. |
Samples[edit]
Without waittilldone:
speakEnglish("Hello World")
With waittilldone:
speakEnglish("Say hello", true) showMessage("to my little friend")
